This set includes a 16-ounce bottle of cutting board oil and a round applicator, providing a fast, professional, and easy way to apply Boos Block Mystery Oil to your wooden kitchen accessories. Crafted with solid hardwood handles, the applicator ensures a perfect grip for ease of control during application. The special silver ion–treated sponge applies oils and creams smoothly, evenly, and consistently onto wood surfaces, reducing waste or mess. The John Boos Mystery Oil is made from all-natural ingredients, ensuring it’s safe for food-preparation surfaces. It penetrates deep into the grain of the wood to protect and revitalize the wood fibers, preventing the drying, splitting, and cracking of cutting boards, bowls, or kitchen utensils. Instructions: Apply an even coat of Boos Mystery Oil to all surfaces of your wood cutting board using the applicator. Allow the Mystery Oil to fully penetrate the wood fibers overnight, then wipe off any excess oil. Apply additional oil to any visibly dry spots. Use at least once per month (depending on the cutting board use and household conditions) and more often in dry or arid climates. Do not overoil your cutting board. For additional protection, use Boos Block Board Cream (sold separately) to seal the top of the wood surface.
